We are from Olot, the capital of the Garrotxa region and belongs to Girona´s province. It is a small town that has a population of  about 33,000 inhabitants. It´s a plain sorrounded of volcanoes and mountains.

MORROT is the name of the school and it means cliff of lava.

It is a new state school and this is the second year that it is working. Currently, we are in prefabricated module, and we are waiting for the construccion of a new and definitive school.

At present we are teaching nursery school  (from 3 to 6 years) and we have 74 pupils; next year we will start primary school (from 6 to 12 years).

They are working in the CORNERS way, which allows us to look after the diversity while they improve their autonomy and learn to organize themselves, to comunicate with the others and to share.

We also work with PROJECTS, which allows pupils to suggest subjects to work on, to choose these subjects between all of them, to make hypothesis about what they know and what they want to know and finally verify them.

“Where we come from?” workshop

They also work on WORKSHOPS mixing pupils from the three levels, which allows us to work on more experimental and  ludic subjects.

This year there is a new workshop called MULTIMEDIA WORKSHOP and it involves the
Media Playing Communities Project.
From open activities pupils will be encouraged to manipulate and discover audiovisual and computer devices properties and how to use them.
